Almost the last Home Improvement from Elaine Adair Pieces

THINK PINK -  This was made up by All Day Sew friends, from gifted PINKS.  Some of the sewists wanted to learn a little about QAYGo, and also String Quilting, so many contributed to this project, while learning.  This will be donated to our annual Quilt Show.  It turned out well and several of the sewists are already thinking about it's purchase!

Kaleidoscope Quilt in Blue made up in a few days, after being asked to present a Trunk Show and lesson, so I wanted something fresh and new.

AND if you've visited me previously, you might notice -- ta ...

Timeless from From the Strawberry Patch...

"Timeless" is bordered and ready for a date with Snowbird. I believe that she'll have to wait for "Red Letter Day" to come off the rails first, I'm trying to establish an order for the next to be quilted. One of the criteria for that to occur is having backing fabric in the house and ready to go (those important things)! In the meantime there's been lots going on in and around the house. The joys

Laundry in the Fast Lane from From the Strawberry Patch...

I couldn't be more pleased if I tried. I'm in love with both the new look and with my super-talented cabinet-maker husband! We've only just returned from a road trip (more on that tomorrow) to meet the counter top installers here this morning. I'm obsessed and can't stop looking at the space. What. A. Difference!

Happy July! from From the Strawberry Patch...

I missed wishing you all a Happy 4th of July, but, today, I'll wish you a happy July instead! Our flag was flying proudly yesterday, as always, and we're keeping busy as these days grow increasingly warmer. The potted flowers in front have never been prettier than this year, I can't take any credit, all I did was set them into the pots. Recently, we've had additional heartbreak where our nesting

Out With The Old... from From the Strawberry Patch...

We're redoing our laundry room, here's the before and after as of now. The picture on the left was taken in February and is representative of how this space has looked since we built the house, almost twenty one years ago. Mr. Goodneedle had always wanted to build the cabinets for the house. All that time ago we were eager to get it done move in and, after designing and building most of our home

Finishing Up from From the Strawberry Patch...

Remember that ongoing porch project? This is how things looked a little over a week ago when I left for Hampton, VA and MidAtlantic Quilt Fest. The scaffolding was still in place and the units were all framed out to receive the screen panels. We had four glass sections installed in the gable end before I left. Even though the space will be screened in, the screen panels have pull-down vinyl

Spreadsheet Required from From the Strawberry Patch...

We had the youngest two grandchildren for a few days last week, it was wonderful and BUSY! They're in the third and first grades now and they both have lots of fun activities besides school. Our son had emailed me calendar items to add to my daily schedule as reminders but I find that I need a spreadsheet. It's the way I visualize and plan. It might be antiquated but that works for me, and so,
